It's a Boy!!

I had a 15-week ultrasound session today. Medically, everything appears to be developing quite nicely. We were also able to determine that we're having another BOY! Yep, you heard me correctly, another BOY!

Enjoy the pictures; there are four of them. One is a picture and you can see his hand. Another is a picture of his feet. There's a good profile shot of him. And also, a shot of his "package".

My next well-check is scheduled for 06 Mar 09, this is where they will draw tons of blood to test for all sorts of diseases and defects.

On Friday, I saw my OB/GYN for our 12-week check-up. We got to hear the heartbeat, which was extremely strong! No pictures this time, though (boo!)

I also wanted to ask about my "getting sick after eating" routine. He told me to take Vitamin B6 before eating, he said that should help. Of course, today is Sunday and I have yet to pick up any Vitamin B6!

I also checked out the Chinese Gender Prediction Charts. My girlfriend said it was right for her, so I decided to check it out for fun. Before determining Baby #3, I decided to look up what it predicted for both Tyler and Ronin. I figured if this chart gets both Tyler and Ronin correct, the odds are in my favor that it'll be right for Baby #3 ... do you agree with my logic?

For Tyler, my month of conception was July 2004, so I would have been 24. It said I should have had a boy ... and I did.

For Ronin, my month of conception was March 2007, so I would have been 28. It said I should have had a boy ... and I did.

Now, for Baby #3, my month of conception was November 2008, so I as 29. It says I should be having a ...

Metromoms:Best & Hottest Products

So I'm a member of this awesome group called MetroMoms (www.metroplexbaby.com). I absolutely love this group!! Not only have I met some fantastic women in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, but I have been able to attend some very invaluable events. Some events are meant to teach us, like disciplining techniques, potty training, or starting your own company.

Other events are just plain fun, like their quarterly Best & Hottest Products event. The tickets went on sale a couple months ago and sold out faster than a U2 concert! In fact, I believe they were sold out before they even had a chance to finish their presale offer! Of course, I got my ticket and the event was last night.

The idea behind their B&H event is to show off the latest and greatest items on the market for Moms-to-be, infants, and children. They give away everything from cribs, strollers, car seats, safety items, baby monitors, first aid, clothes, shoes, toys ... you name it, it's there! In fact, last night they had (I think) 101 items to give away! Every mother gets to draw a number; whomever draws #1 gets to pick an item first, then #2, etc. They also do something fun too, for the Moms to pick their numbers. Last night, there were balloons everywhere. Each table had a balloon and inside each balloon was a number. The table that had #1, each got to get up and go to the mass of balloons and pick out their personal balloon. Affixed to the balloon was a cute ladybug tether for the kids, and taped to the bottom of that ladybug was our number.

At my table, we were the 18th table allowed to pick our personal numbers. Out of the 4 of us, we drew #1, #13, #14, and #92. I drew #13, so that meant I was the 13th Mom allowed to pick out a gift. I was really hoping to get the convertible car seat since we'll need one for Baby #3, but Mom #11 got it before me. Oh well, I picked out the Fisher-Price Zen Collection Pappasan Bouncer. It's super cute and retails for $100!

This was actually the first time I had ever picked a "low" number. In the past, I believe the best number I drew was #54. No matter, everything I've ever received at the B&H event has gotten it's workout in this home! The next B&H event will be April 16th and I'm already counting down!

Pregnant at 11 weeks

On Monday, I'll technically be considered 11 weeks pregnant. I only found out I was pregnant a couple weeks ago. I went to the doctor on January 5, 2009 to confirm my suspicions. At that point, it was determined I was 8 weeks pregnant and due on August 16, 2009. My due date also happens to be my 30th birthday. No offense Mom, but I don't want to be birthin' no baby on the same day you did! I want my baby to have his/HER on special day.

No, I don't know yet the gender of this baby. Secretly, I'm hoping for a girl, since my house is full of testosterone already. I'll most definitely be happy with a healthy baby, no matter the gender, but wishing for a girl isn't a bad thing. I won't actually be able to find out the gender for at least another 7 weeks.

My next appointment is scheduled for February 6, 2009. No pictures this time, we'll just get to listen to the heartbeat. At that point, I'll be 13 weeks.

I've been feeling the typical symptoms in my first trimester; nauseous in the morning and fatigued in the evening. As with all my other pregnancies, I get the additional pleasure of frequent diarrhea and vomiting after meals. I'm not exactly sure the deal about that particular package of symptoms, but my OB/GYN just insists I rest as much as possible (ha!) and stay hydrated.

My Second Blog Attempt

So I decide I want to start blogging, mainly to keep y'all in touch with how the Addison Family is doing and how we're all handling the latest pregnancy. So, being an amatuer blogger, I find an ad for a blogging website called Baby Blogs. I check it out, read up on it, and decide it'd be a cute place to set up my blog. I went through the whole ordeal of setting up my profile and posting my first blog. I was SO proud of myself! But ... there's always a but!

Much to my dismay, as soon as I manually (they didn't make it easy) entered everyone's email address and hit PUBLISH, I get a congratulatory page. I was super excited when I saw that I successfully posted my first blog ... until, at the bottom of the page I noticed a sentence ... "only 29 days left in your trial period"

Are you freakin' kidding me?!! I have to pay someone to blog??!!! Seriously?? Not this chica! I emailed my girlfriend, Elizabeth, who I knew blogged. She told me what she used and said it was FREE. I love that word, F-R-E-E.

So, ignore anything you get from Baby Blogs, because I won't be maintaining their fat wallets, only my thin one!

Here We Go Again: Baby #3

All of my girlfriends tell me blogging is the best way to keep friends & family in the know about our latest adventures. I have to agree with them, as our family and friends are all across the globe. So here we go, on our first blogged journey about pregnancy #3. I'll keep you updated on how I feel, my doctor's appointments, and latest photos. I hope you enjoy reading about what I enjoy sharing!
